Started the day with a nice breakfast at the Marquis with Tom while we waited for transport to take us to Linkin Park's rehearsal space. We arrived at 945 to get ready for the shoot/interview with Chester that was supposed to start at 1030.

Susan (the band's PR) took the abuse very well from Tom and I while we waited for her artist who turned up 40 minutes late... Basically we had the best shoot/interview experience this past March with Slash so the constant harassment of: "Well he's no Slash" went down well!! (Slash showed on time for an hour and a half photo shoot and then phoned Tom back after their interview was cut short. Basically it doesn't get better than that!!)

Tom and I were left to work with the shortened time and considering what we had to work with I think it turned out not too bad. Managed to get a smiley Chester for a few shots so no complaints, well more than 11 minutes to shoot would have been good but hey "It was no Slash!!"

We headed back to the hotel and then went for lunch at one of those restaurants where celebs go to be photographed by paparazzi. Tom asked for an autograph of some footballer I'd never heard of and Billie Joe from Green Day wandered by which was part of our next job. Basically the Foxboro Hot Tubs were playing in town and we needed to come up with some content for a feature in K! without interview or photo access to the band. With only having two tickets to the show Tom jumped up mid-lunch and grabbed a quote from Billie Joe which was a brilliant journalistic maneuver. After lunch we wandered up to the venue and asked/photographed the line-up in front of the Roxy what they thought the side project playing in such tiny venues...

Came back later for the show and went for a few drinks in the Rainbow beforehand where we saw the local resident Lemmy, Nikki Sixx, and Ron Jeremy. Met up with Susan (He's no Slash!) from earlier, and two of her work colleagues. I watched a few songs and went back to the hotel. Show was not bad but not being allowed to photograph it was like being taken to a nice restaurant, being served a warm meal and then being told I couldn't eat it!! Met up with Tom after and we called it a night as it had been way too long a day!! One of the best dressed from the crowd earlier today...
