Because of Slipknot cancelling it meant I didn't need to work at Reading today so spent a nice leisurely day of Mario Kart and BBQ!!

Had the best ribs courtesy of wonder chef Scarlet. But the satay sauce that went with the chicken was the topper! After a little nap we rolled over to Reading to see Metallica. Caught the tail end of Tenacious D who weren't bad but I think their comedy act is better suited for a theater show. Everyone had been complaining how quiet the sounds was for Rage and the Killers so we moved right close to see Metallica where the sound was pretty good.

They played pretty close to the same I saw in Istanbul but it was still great. I wish more quality bands would appear like Metallica, they never disappoint and always put on a great show. Also there is none of that ego that some established bands have where they won't play certain hit songs, at least with Metallica they know what the crowd wants to hear give it to you and then the odd surprise here and there!!
