Woke up way too early from the jet lag and as we were about to go for breakfast had a call from Ian. He had been hit by a car! He was quite in shock and said that all the witnesses said it was quite spectacular, even smashed the windshield! On a quick look he seemed to be a little banged up but must keep an eye on him. Someone at the scene had mentioned head injuries and put the fear in him. All went for breakfast at a place across the street which had to be the fastest service I've ever experienced! You ordered then waited about maybe 2 or 3 minutes before it came to your table, and it was not too bad at all.

After breakfast Kirsten and I left Ian at the hotel icing his wounds and spent a marathon of a day at the Toronto Zoo. Was really cold and a bit rainy but an amazing nonetheless. Spent hours watching the Orangutans who were hilarious. One of the babies even did a brilliant impression of the Mr.G character from Summer Heights High!

Their big cat habitats were great too, with the Snow Leopard being very curious. Will definitely come back sometime as they had a massive Arctic area being built which is to house loads of different species. Even touched a Nurse Shark which felt like sandpaper. Here's three but I'm sure the pics will litter the blog for days to come...

Once finally back at the hotel picked up Ian who seemed to be doing not too bad after the morning's trauma. We went to Sneaky Dee's for dinner and met up with the Cancer Bats who were on good form. Again the jet lag kicked in so it ended up being an early night. Although I did catch the first Conan O' Brien Tonight Show, umm show hasn't really changed much! Entertaining, the only thing was Conan's monologue which can always be stronger...

On a final note, heard about the tragic news of flight AF 447 my thoughts are with the families of the victims.
